our roots
For two generations JV Barr Construction has been building, constructing, renovating or repairing. JV Barr Construction was founded in 1996 by Joseph Virgil Barr, IV.
Amie Barr joined him at the helm in the Spring of 2004 after earning her South Carolina General Contractors License. Then named Barr Construction, he and Amie worked together on both residential and commercial projects until his sudden death in 2018. In 2019, Amie rebranded and renamed the company in honor of her father.
